3 Growing Visual Trends
for Events in 2017

Events constantly face a big problem. People get tired of seeing the same things all the time. Yesteryear’s eye-catcher is ignored today. To hold your audience’s interest, it’s vital to update your designs with the latest visual trends.

Interactive Displays for Events

VIDEO AND INTERACTIVE DISPLAYS:

Imagine the last wedding you attended. Remember watching the married couple’s Same Day Edit video on that LED screen? How did you feel while watching it? Exactly. In 2017, events are going to need that: video presentations that are larger than life, creative, and emotion rousing.

For displays, the mantra is: the more interactive, the better. Interactive displays are gaining more traction in today’s events. Options range from screens that stream live social media updates to touch screen gamification and real time polling.

Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality for Events

AR AND VR SYSTEMS:

There are alternate versions of reality as we know it. Visually, that is. Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that superimposes a computer-generated image on a user's view of the real world to provide a composite view. Think Pokemon Go. Virtual Reality (VR), on the other hand, is a computer-generated simulation of a three-dimensional image or environment that can be interacted with in a seemingly real or physical way. Imagine wearing a helmet and being transported instantly to another place, another experience.

These “realities” offer a new channel within which attendees can participate in your event. With tech giants like Google and Samsung entering the market, you can certain that the popularity of these technologies can only go up.

ONLINE STREAMING:

With the undeniable rise of both Facebook Live and Instagram Live, online streaming is now a platform on steroids. Social media users are voracious consumers of online streaming because they’re notified whenever someone they follow is going live.

Have influencers, bloggers, and celebrities in your event? Ask them to do a Facebook and/or Instagram Live using their own accounts. Since these people have huge followings already, it will be easier to reach new audiences and let them experience or at least get a glimpse of your event. Who knows, these new persons who you are reaching may just be new clients as well?

Holding an event is about creating an environment that’s unique, fresh, and memorable. In a time when everything is shifting towards digital, you have to keep up with technology, embrace it, and use it for creating meaningful experiences.
